NJ Citizen Action Launches Community Petition Drive

In response to the proposed sale of Christ Hospital to a for profit company, New Jersey Citizen Action launched a petition drive to protect the mission of the community hospital.

“The people of Jersey City need to know that Christ Hospital, its services, and our health care providers will always be here for our families,” said Jersey City resident Paulette M. Eberle, Co-Chair of New Jersey Citizen Action (NJCA), the state's largest citizen watchdog coalition.

"That's why a team of NJCA canvassers will be talking to Jersey City families about the sale," continued Eberle. "It's OUR hospital. It's been a pillar of the community for nearly 140 years. We need to make sure decisions are made with the input of residents instead of behind closed doors."

New Jersey Citizen Action is the State’s largest, independent citizen watchdog coalition representing 100 affiliated and allied organizations and 60,000 family members. For more, see their Press Release.
